TRE® feels like my body is laughing - from tiny giggles to big-belly laughs, and all variations in between!

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple to learn technique that assists the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma by safely activating the body’s natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating to not only reduce muscular tension, but to also bring the nervous system back into a state of balance, ease, and resilience.

This natural shaking mechanism isn't unique to humans but is genetically encoded in all mammals as a way of discharging stress and trauma from the system.  Click here to watch a YouTube video of an impala shaking off the trauma of being pursued by a predator.  The animal lays on the ground, and its body tremors for approximately one minute before it gets up and runs off to move on with its life!

who is TRE® for?

Truly, TRE® can benefit everyone.  Specifically, TRE® can reduce the psychological, emotional, and physical impacts of:

TRE® is based on the fundamental idea, backed by research, that stress, tension and trauma are both psychological AND physical.  Because we engage directly with the nervous system through the body in TRE®, it is often possible to experience relief from symptoms of PTSD or unresolved trauma without any emotional or cognitive experience of “the story” behind these symptoms.  This can be a tremendous gift to those who don’t want to relive their experiences to find relief or for those who don’t know why they don’t feel well (or feel anxious, stressed, or frightened)…they just know they don’t feel well.

  • Introductory session (90 minutes) - $220

  • On-going sessions (60-75 minutes) - $185

  • Introductory 3-session package (recommended) - $540 (saves $50)
